I began writing the story 'Emotion' when I was fifteen years old, but I originally thought of ideas and characters when I was fourteen. It took me about six months to write it completely and then quite a few months to edit for spelling and grammar. However, I found it difficult to finish because of school and upcoming GCSEs - so for the whole of my last year in school, I didn't even have the chance to look at 'Emotion'. Once my GCSEs were finished, I immediately went back to it and completely finished at the age of sixteen. It took a lot of effort and time, but I managed to keep going until it was done! I also self-published on Amazon, designed the kindle version and the cover designs for the paperback version, so I made sure everything was how I wanted it to be.
A fast-paced short story packed with drama and a miscellany of emotion...
Naomi's life was once simple as an orphan, but when a ruthless group of scientists steal her from her orphanage, they torture her to allow her to develop the ability to see the future through small visions. Her mind and foresight are strong, but there is another layer to her power - the very power of her own emotions. As Naomi is tested, betrayed and tortured to within the inch of her life, she begins to understand her true nature, and the real reason she has these emotion-related abilities. She has two abilities - one was forced into her mind and the other was always there, just hidden. Barely able to even control her power, she flees from everything and everyone but can never seem to run fast enough.
